The idea, ownership, and patent rights belong to Stefan Tijsen, a 35-year-old from a fishing family with two vessels fishing for crab, lobster, flatfish and shrimp.
Stefan launched his innovation company in 2020 and has since developed several major projects. Through Pot Fishing Agency he supports fishing businesses, governments and research institutes innovating across the North Sea.
The team behind ClawBinder Pro consists of three dedicated companies — Stano Engineering, Tijsen Electrotechniek, and WM Techniek — currently touring the prototype around England and Scotland.

The ClawBinder Pro machine is innovative and unique.
For three years, we have worked on developing a fully automatic machine that wraps crab and other crustacean claws in protective foil. Drawing from our own experience fishing for crabs and lobsters in the North Sea, we have designed a completely original machine based on our expertise.
The machine automatically recognizes the crab and determines the exact amount of foil needed for the claws. Using a unique swipe system, the foil is heated and shrunk in seconds. This fully automatic machine is made entirely of stainless steel and is suitable for use on all types of fishing vessels.
