About us
The idea, ownership, and patent rights belong to Stefan Tijsen, a 35-year-old from a fishing family with two vessels that fish for crab, lobster, flatfish, and shrimp—engaging in both passive and trawl fisheries.
Stefan started his innovation company in 2020 and has since developed several major innovative projects. Through his company, Pot Fishing Agency, he has gained international recognition, assisting other fishing businesses, as well as governments and research institutes, in developing innovations and new ideas for the North Sea.
The team behind the ClawBinder Pro consists of three professional companies that have been fully dedicated to this unique product: Stano Engineering, Tijsen Electrotechniek, and WM Techniek. Together, they have worked tirelessly on the prototype, which they are now showcasing on a tour around England and Scotland.

The ClawBinder Pro machine is innovative and unique.
For three years, we have worked on developing a fully automatic machine that wraps crab and other crustacean claws in protective foil. Drawing from our own experience fishing for crabs and lobsters in the North Sea, we have designed a completely original machine based on our expertise.
The machine automatically recognizes the crab and determines the exact amount of foil needed for the claws. Using a unique swipe system, the foil is heated and shrunk in seconds. This fully automatic machine is made entirely of stainless steel and is suitable for use on all types of fishing vessels.

This unique method keeps the product stronger, extends its lifespan, and reduces stress by 85% compared to traditional claw cutting. The machine processes each crab in just six seconds and wraps two claws simultaneously.

Jan Jaap (J.J.) Tijsen comes from the fishing village of Den Oever. He specializes in electrical installations on board fishing vessels. His company, Tijsen Elektrotechniek, primarily focuses on maintenance on board as well as complete new construction installations.
